School Playground Ribbon Cutting
Our primary playground is open! The track ride has been removed and is being adjusted; it should be completed in approximately 5 weeks.
We will be having a ribbon cutting on Wednesday, October 5th at 11 am to celebrate our shiny, new playground. This is our opportunity to THANK our generous financial donor Gordon Cameron from Canadian Horizons. It is due to his generosity that we were able to have our playground completed within one school year.
Harvest Day is being celebrated on Friday, October 7th. For those of you who are new to our school community, you should know that this day is full of veggie carvings, dancing, and fun! Students from k-7 are encouraged to be creative and create veggie carvings at home. Students bring these creations to school on Friday for display in the school hallways. Please remember to send your child with an attached card to the carving that contains the following information:
Name of carving
Families are invited to celebrate Harvest Day in the gym at 1pm with the rest of our students. From 1-2 pm classes will be performing dances. Please wear your dancing shoes as the grand finale is involves everyone dancing.
The Bookaneer Book Fair will continue the week of October 3rd. Thank you to our parents who have been promoting and working at the Book Fair.
Card and Stamp Club
Our card and Stamp Club will be starting soon. The club will meet once a week and it will be for intermediate students who want to learn how to make seasonal tags and cards. Supplies will be provided by the school. Ms. K-S will be our instructor. There will be more information provided over the morning announcements as to when our first meeting will be.
A big thank you to Mr. Thompson who is coaching the Grade 6/7 Soccer Team. Practises are Tuesdays after school on the big field.
